Food Bank Donations

Our annual Food Drive will soon be taking place!  We are starting a little earlier this year & will be accepting food donation for the Christmas food drive program and loaves & fishes.  Please drop off your donation at Doverview Dental or Oceanside dental & your name will be entered into our draw for some great prizes!  First prize is a lovely basket of dental products including Oral B electric brushes & products (value $300).  Second prize is a gift certificate for Custom Bleaching trays! (value $225)

Dental Heath Updates for 2012

Quick Tips for Oral Health:

1.  2 x 2 Rule: Brush 2 times Daily for 2 minutes. If you have children a sand timer is a fun way to help them brush the full 2 minutes!
2.  Floss or Use a Floss pick. For you anti-flossers, there are some great Floss picks available for those hard to reach places!
3. Rinse regularly. Using a non-alcohol based mouth rinse helps keep a clean mouth feel and there are a variety of rinses available to help prevent dry mouth and even cavities.
4. Use a Soft Bristled toothbrush – always. No one needs a hard toothbrush! Hard Bristled can damage your gums and are no more effective at removing plaque that the gentler, soft bristled counterpart!
5. Have your Dental Check-up and Cleaning 1-2 times per year. Your dentists and Dental Hygienist can help keep your mouth healthy & keep you smiling

We are excited to welcome Dr. Cameron Tansey to our Practice!  We are also Welcoming Heather (receptionist) and Bonnie (assistant) to our practice & are thrilled to have these wonderful new team members on board!  We'd like to thank everyone for your continued support & are welcoming new patients to our offices in Nanaimo and Parksville!  thanks for reading :-)

December 2011:
December 2011 had been a fun & exciting time at Dover View Dental and Oceanside Dental. Since November, we have been collecting food for our local food banks and have collected over 400 lbs so far! In our 6th year of business, this has become an annual tradition that we look forward to continuing! Congratulations to the winners of our prize draw and a BIG Thank You to all our wonderful patients who brought in food donations!

Looking ahead in 2012, we welcome you to stop by for a New Toothbrush and to come in for your dental cleaning and check-up. We are thrilled to be open now in Parksville and welcome referrals to both out Nanaimo and Parksville locations! Here’s to Good Oral Health in 2012 & Beyond!
